The Provincial Directorate of Preschool, Primary and Non-Formal Education (DPEPPNF) of Ziro held, on Wednesday, October 16, 2024 in Sapouy, its first board of directors of the 2024-2025 school year. The work was led by the provincial director, Sidbéwendin Compaoré.

The 2024 action plan of the DPEPPNF of Ziro was implemented at 84.24%. This performance was praised by the various education stakeholders during this board meeting.

The head of the studies and planning department, Ousséni Nikièma, presented the activity report of this plan through its various programs.

The results achieved in the Primary Education Certificate (CEP) for the 2024 session are also satisfactory (76.32%). This rate, the best in the last five years of the DPEPPNF, was highlighted by the head of the examinations and competitions department, Albert Dintoungda.

These education stakeholders have decided to increase this rate to 80% for the 2025 session. To do this, they have proposed educational activities to support middle school clas
ses (CM1-CM2).

The situation of the administrative and educational return to school for the 2024-2025 school year was presented by the various district heads.

It appears that the statutory meetings to prepare for the start of the school year have taken place and that all classes in the province have teachers.

The majority of schools closed following the security crisis have been reopened.

The lack of desks and school textbooks, the proliferation of Koranic schools, the management of internally displaced students (IDS), as well as the unavailability of food for the school canteen are among the difficulties mentioned by these educational supervisors.

As for the social partners (unions), they pleaded for rigorous management of teaching staff in the field and in offices.

The provincial director, Sidbéwendin Compaoré, for his part invited all education stakeholders to work to respond to the educational emergency, particularly in welcoming internally displaced students.

He also urged them to improve their su
ccess rate in the CEP for the 2025 session.

The other guidelines he gave are: good management of the minimum school bag and the school canteen, as well as improving communication with social partners (unions, APE, COGES, AME).
