Traditional leaders organized on Saturday June 8, 2024 in Dédougou a march in support of the Combatant Forces, the President of Faso, Captain Ibrahim Traoré and the government for efforts to restore territorial integrity. On the occasion, an envelope of 200 thousand FCFA was given as a contribution to the peace effort.

The traditional leaders of Dédougou are grateful to the Combatant Forces, President Ibrahim Traoré and his government for his commitment to the reconquest of the national territory, more particularly in the Boucle du Mouhoun region.

They made it known this Saturday June 8, 2024 in Dédougou, through a support march.

Indeed, following the call from the Traditional Movement for Peace and Security (MCSP), the population of Dédougou and its surroundings mobilized to express their pride in the gradual return of peace.

Equipped with flags, signs, banners and whistles, the marchers covered a distance of more than a kilometer to reach the governorate in order to deliver a message to the regional aut
hority.

Through this message, the customaries invite the President of Faso to Dédougou to directly address their blessings and encouragement to him.

For the coordinator of the march, Magnan Jérémie Saboué, this mobilization constitutes a mark of recognition to the Transition authorities for the efforts made in the Boucle du Mouhoun.

‘Many displaced people are distributed in their localities. We have the areas (…) which have been resettled. National road 14 Dédougou-Nouna to Djibasso has become passable,’ he cited, among others.

To the large population, he renewed his thanks for having carried the message of the traditional leaders.

The representative of the governor, Souleymane Nakanabo, also High Commissioner of Mouhoun, expressed his gratitude to customary leaders for this initiative of support for the Fighting Forces, the President of Faso and the entire government.

For him, every Burkinabè must mobilize ‘and this is how, together, we will build a Burkina of peace and prosperity’.

He finally reassur
ed the marchers that the message will be transmitted to the appropriate person as soon as possible.
