Council of Ministers of the Inter-African Conference on Social Security: Three commissions report their work in the presence of the Minister of State, Bassolma Bazié

Ouagadougou: Three commissions presented this Monday in Lomé, Togo, their work on the life of the Council of Ministers of the Inter-African Conference on Social Welfare, in the presence of the Minister of State, Bassolma Bazié.

On the occasion of his visit to Togo as current president of the Council of Ministers of the Inter-African Conference on Social Welfare (CIPRES), the Minister of State, Minister of Civil Service, Labor and Social Protection, Bassolma Bazié, had set up three commissions to reflect on the revitalization of the institution.

The commissions presented the results of their work this Monday, March 25, 2024, in Lomé, Togo, in the presence of the Minister of State.

The first commission worked on the status of the 2023 action plan and the draft 2024 action plan.

The second commission worked on the revaluation of certain advantages granted to members of CIPRES bodies.

The third commission worked on recruitment conditions, staff needs and training.

This commission proposed, among other thing
s, improving the conditions of remuneration and reception of staff with diplomatic status, strengthening the number of staff with diplomatic status and administrative and technical staff, and recruiting two high-level administrative executives. and two inspectors planned to strengthen the Support-Advice Unit and the PAT.

It also recommended the development of a training plan in line with changes in the working environment and which takes into account the needs of the members of the Commission and staff.

The work of the first commission will be proposed to the members of the Council of Ministers for validation in order to urgently adopt the strategic plan and the 2024 budget.

For the other two committees, they will be proposed on the agenda of the session scheduled for June in Geneva during the International Labor Conference (ILC).
