Construction of Ouagadougou-Donsin International Airport: Minister Emile ZERBO visits the construction site

The Minister of Territorial Administration and Mobility, Mr. Emile ZERBO, visited the Ouagadougou-Donsin International Airport construction site on Thursday, October 17, 2024.

Before going to the airport platform, Minister Emile ZERBO was welcomed at the headquarters of the Donsin Airport Project Management (MOAD), located in the Somgandé district, in Ouagadougou for a briefing on the progress of the visit and the status of the construction project of the Ouagadougou-Donsin international airport as well as its access roads. The course was then set on the route of the 2X3 lane expressway, at the intersection of the Ouagadougou-Kaya railway and the capital bypass. Approximately 25 km long. This expressway will connect Ouagadougou to the Ouagadougou-Donsin International Airport via the Kossodo interchange, under construction.

Minister ZERBO and his delegation then went to the airport access ramp, on the east side, where they visited the public utility zone located on either side of the ramp, reserved for spec
ific developments.

The delegation also stopped at the airport access ramp, on the west side, at the junction of the main road and the said ramp, before being welcomed at the airport platform. At this level, a general presentation of the progress of the project was made to Minister Emile ZERBO. From the hill where the Radars are located, to the control tower, via the landing strip and the various parking lots (aircraft and passengers), the Minister of Territorial Administration and Mobility, Mr. Emile ZERBO was able to see the progress of the work.

At the end of this visit, Minister Emile ZERBO invited all stakeholders to pool their energies for better results. He called on those primarily responsible for the work to do their part in order to deliver quality infrastructure for the happiness of future users of this airport.
