Banfora: The Youth Association for Cultural Renewal of the Cascades (AJRCC) organized a press conference on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 in Banfora, to present its program of activities for the year 2024.

The Coordinator of the Youth Association for Cultural Renewal of the Cascades (AJRCC), Serge Coulibaly, was in front of the press this Tuesday, January 30, 2024, to announce the flagship activities of his structure for the year 2024.

The speaker indicated from the outset that the activities of the School Festival of Music and Dance (FSCOMD) is a cultural activity organized in the various primary and secondary preschool educational establishments.

According to him, the launch of the 2024 edition of FESCOMD will take place on March 2 in Banfora and the final is scheduled to be held on March 23, 2024.

‘Given the financial difficulties, we will not be able to support candidates this year,’ he said.

According to Mr. Coulibaly, for this 2024 edition, the disciplines are among others playback, and wearable art fo
r preschool and primary school candidates.

To these two disciplines, it is appropriate to add Slam for the adolescent category.

The AJRCC plans to organize, in collaboration with schools, a ‘big’ fair on May 15, 2024 after the third term evaluation.

Traders and traditional practitioners will be able to participate in this fair, he suggested.

The last point addressed by the AJRCC Coordinator is the creation of a WhatsApp group called ‘Cascades Info Group (GCI)’, which will allow the promotion of the AJRCC activities.

The members of this group intend to emphasize social aspects. GCI’s first major activity will be the organization of blood donation week which will take place from February 5 to 12, 2O24.

The objective of this blood donation is to make blood available because the country needs it not only for the sick but also for the FDS and VDP wounded at the front, said Serge Coulibaly.
