The active forces of the province of Comoé planted on Saturday June 22, 2024, 340 species of trees on the occasion of the celebration of the 4th national tree day.
There are 340 plants composed of flamboyant with yellow flowers, cassias, flamboyant with red flowers, caïlcedrats, palm trees, oil palms, mango trees, and fig trees which were planted last Saturday in the province of Comoé.
Placed on the theme ‘Tree, a capital of resilience for endogenous development’, said edition was launched by the Governor of the Cascades region, Florent Badabouè Bazié.
The 4th edition of National Tree Day (JNA) was an opportunity to raise awareness about the importance of trees and to demonstrate tree planting.
For the Governor of the Cascades region Florent Badabouè Bazié, the tree is life and its virtues are among others: the fruits, the leaves used for consumption and therapeutic care,
Mr. Bazié congratulated the population for its strong mobilization before inviting everyone to plant useful throughout the reforestati
on campaign in disputes living conditions and to adopt the innovation concepts of the 2024 edition which are among others: I regreen my home, an institution, a grove, a happy event (marriage, baptism, etc.).
According to the Cascades Regional Environment Director, Hassim RABO, roadside planting is strongly recommended this year to beautify national road no. 7.
