Centre-est: Des VDP offrent 50 tonnes de maïs aux familles de leurs camarades tombés

Ouagadougou:The Volunteers for the Defense of the Fatherland serving at the Bagré growth pole showed their solidarity with the widows and orphans of their comrades who lost their lives, by offering them 50 tons of corn from their production.

‘Through this gesture, we want to show the authority that it has our unwavering support in the life of the Nation,’ declared the National Volunteer for the Defense of the Homeland, Issa Sankara.

Mr. Sankara also took the opportunity to challenge the population on the need to share values of hospitality and solidarity which were the pride of the African people and those of Burkina in particular.

According to the deputy commander of the VDP brigade, Lieutenant-Colonel Mahamadi Sawadogo, these VDPs, beyond their mission of securing the Bagrepole site, made their contribution by producing.

He also invited the other VDPs to follow in the footsteps of their companions serving at the Bagré growth pole.

The beneficiaries, through their representative, Sibdou Ouédraogo/Tabsob
a, expressed their thanks to the donors before imploring divine protection for all the fighters engaged in the reconquest of the territory.
