Burkinabe midfielder Adama Guira, injured during the CAN competition, underwent successful surgery on Thursday in Spain, reports the Burkinabe football federation (FBF).

‘Returning to his club in Spain after his injury, our midfielder, Adama Guira, underwent successful surgery today,’ announced the supreme body of Burkinabe football, the FBF.

Adama Guira suffered a ruptured ligament in the Achilles tendon in his right ankle against Algeria.
