Burkinabe in Canada presents a project to the authorities to promote digital skills


A delegation of the Burkinabe diaspora in Canada presented to the Minister in charge of Digital Transition Aminata Zerbo/Sabane a training project focused on the development of digital skills.

‘The objective is to transmit our skills to Burkinabe students,’ confided the representative of the delegation, Marcelline Bengaly received in audience yesterday Tuesday by Minister Zerbo/Sabane

‘We, members of the Burkinabe diaspora in Canada, intend to set up a digital skills training system in Burkina Faso, by mobilizing all the expertise of the diaspora as well as that of Burkina Faso,’ she said.

In her opinion, the pilot phase of the project will be implemented in collaboration with the University of Koudougou, before being extended to the national scale.

According to Ms. Bengaly, this initiative is part of a larger approach aimed at meeting the growing needs for digital skills in the country.

She also stressed that this partnership between the diaspora and local actors demonstrates the importance of promotin
g digital skills to meet the development challenges in Burkina Faso.
