Burkinabè newspapers this Wednesday echo the country’s international cooperation with the UN on the one hand and the stay of the president of the National Transition Council (CNT) of Mali, the Colonel Malick Diaw, in Burkina Faso.

‘Parliamentary cooperation: the president of the National Transition Council from Mali to Burkina Faso’, headlines the dean of private daily newspapers, L’Observateur Paalga.

The newspaper informs that the Transitional Legislative Assembly of Burkina receives from July 24 to 26, 2024, the head of the Malian parliament, Colonel Malick Diaw for an official stay.

The colleague specifies that during this stay Colonel Malick Diaw and his Burkinabè counterpart, Dr Ousmane Bougouma will review bilateral parliamentary cooperation, the role and position of their respective countries in parliamentary bodies and the perspective of the creation of federal sessions of the parliaments of the AES countries.

On the same subject, the private daily Le Pays indicates, in its ‘life of institutions’
section, that this visit is part of cooperation to consolidate good relations between the Burkinabè and Malian parliaments.

The newspaper also adds that the president of the CNT of Mali will sponsor the exit of the 12th promotion from the Higher Institute of Civil Protection Studies (OSEPC).

In the diplomatic register, the publications comment on the meeting of Burkinabè personalities with presidents of Nicaraguan institutions

According to the newspaper Le Pays, it is on the sidelines of the commemoration of the 45th anniversary of the ‘Sandinista’ revolution that the Burkinabe delegation led by the President of the Constitutional Council, Me Barthélemy Kéré, visited the country’s institution.

In the same vein, Le Pays evokes the working visit of the vice-secretary of the United Nations to Burkina. According to the colleague, the vice-secretary, Amina Mohamed was welcomed yesterday Tuesday by the Burkinabè minister in charge of cooperation, Karamoko Jean-Marie Traoré.

For the state daily Sidwaya, the UN
wants, through this visit of its representative to Burkina Faso, to truly immerse itself in the situation in the country, in order to provide support and aid to the Burkinabè people.
