Burkina/Ziro: around thirty educational supervisors equipped with education in emergency situations

Sapouy: The provincial directorate of primary and non-formal preschool education of Ziro, is organizing from March 25 to 28, 2024 in Sapouy, training on education in emergency situations for the benefit of 35 supervisors educational resources of the province, noted an AIB journalist.

Over four days, training inspectors Désiré Koutou and Valentin Douamba will discuss with participants the national strategy for education in emergency situations and the ‘Safe School’ approach.

The representative of the provincial director Albert Degtounda who gave the start of the work, praised the resilience of teachers and educational supervisors in the face of repeated terrorist attacks with their processions of killings, massive displacements of populations and destruction of basic social services. Hence the need to equip educational supervisors with new approaches and strategies in order to protect stakeholders by offering them an environment conducive to learning but also opportunities for assistance if necessary.

He al
so praised the support of their long-standing partner, the NGO Plan International, which works tirelessly to strengthen the capacities of education stakeholders in the province.
