The office of the National Youth Council of Burkina Faso (CNJ-BF) and the presidents of the regional offices on the sidelines of the activities of the regional reforestation day of the North, held in Ouahigouya on Saturday July 13, 2024, a leadership council during which young people from the locality were invited to get involved in the fight against terrorism.
Discussing the life of the CNJ-BF and calling on young people to ardently engage in the fight against terrorism, this was the key message of the exchanges between young people during this board meeting. ‘Without security there is no leisure, there is no development, even less well-being. In the situation that Burkina Faso is going through, we need a surge of solidarity, we need a firm commitment at all levels. So, it is important that young people get involved,’ said the president of the CNJ-BF, Dialla.
‘The city of Ouahigouya is known for its hospitality and for living together. Despite the arrival of thousands of internally displaced people, we hav
e seen the resilience of this population. This demonstrates the convergence towards a Nation-State which wants Burkina Faso to be for everyone,’ he added.
During the work of the management council, it was a question of diagnosing the problems of young people in the Northern region. It was an opportunity for the young people to have a direct discussion with their primary manager.
Several concerns were raised and the office promised to respond favorably to the requests. Young people from the North took advantage of the opportunity offered to them to question the life of the national youth council of Burkina, to discuss the holding of World Youth Day which will be held on August 12, 2024.
For the President of the Regional Youth Council of the North (CRJ/North), Kadidiatou Nongma Ouédraogo, ‘we took the opportunity to verbally renew our support for the authorities of the Transition in their fight and their determination in the reconquest of the national territory. We also expressed our gratitude to our central
structure for its saving actions towards young people in the North,’ said the representative of the CRJ/North at the end of the session.
