Burkina: The King of Binon rests in the family cemetery of Kinkialy de Réo


Ouagadougou: Réo, (AIB)-After 35 years of career, Kindiss, the King of Binon (dance of the Lyelas), Kindiss, has bowed out. Yesterday Tuesday July 16, 2024, he was accompanied by a huge crowd to his final resting place in sector 8 of Réo, noted the AIB.

When his death was announced last Friday July 12 in Ouagadougou, the web was quickly flooded with his music and the tributes paid to him by music lovers and many of those who knew him.

Issa Kinda, his real name, is the precursor of traditional-modern Lyela music, with a rhythm from his home, Binon, dance in Lyolo country (terroir of Lyelas) in the Sanguié province, Center-West region.

On Tuesday July 16, 2024, the day of his burial, the body of the deceased was welcomed by the population of Réo who came out in large numbers to pay vibrant tribute to the artist.

There is no doubt that his music pleased the Lyelas as well as other ethnic groups, notably the Bissas and the Yadcés, his joking parents who never missed the opportunity to hum his songs.

After the greetings and the last tributes in the family, Issa Kinda will be buried in the afternoon in the presence of local authorities including the High Commissioner of the province, Talari Germaine Ouoba, those responsible for Culture, the director of the Atypical Nights of Koudougou, Koudbi Koala, and many other cultural actors including Telesphore Bationo, Désiré Kodjo… without forgetting the many friends and acquaintances who came from Ouagadougou, Bobo-Dioulasso, Koudougou and other localities.

Kindiss, who has a 35-year career, leaves to posterity a rich musical repertoire that will undoubtedly inspire future generations.
