Burkina: The government ends financial allocations for certain audit and inspection missions

Ouagadougou: Prime Minister Apollinaire Joachimson Kyélem de Tambèla has put an end to the granting of financial allocations for audits, inspections and follow-up missions taking place at the place of habitual residence of missionaries, we learned.

According to the terms of this decree signed on March 21, 2024, only public officials carrying out missions outside their province of usual residence, or at a distance of at least fifty (50) kilometers within said province, will have the right to payment of a financial allowance.

This decree repeals all previous provisions to the contrary and entered into force on March 21, 2024, the date of its signature.

As a reminder, Prime Minister Apollinaire Joachimson Kyélem of Tambèla has repeatedly said the need to rationalize public spending in the context of the fight against terrorism and the care of the many displaced people.
