Burkina: Sibiri Biomedical Services contributes 20 million CFA francs to the fight against terrorism

Ouagadougou: The Sibiri Biomedical Service company handed over, on Wednesday, the sum of 20 million CFA francs to the army to mark its solidarity and support in its counter-terrorism operations.

The message from the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, to contribute in kind and in cash in the fight against terrorism, was heard by many companies.

This is how the company Sibiri Biomedical Services donated on Wednesday May 26, 2024, the sum of 20 million FCFA.

According to the general director of Sibiri Biomedical, Mamounata Somda/Koanda, the donation was distributed as follows: Ten million FCFA intended for the central management of army health services and ten million FCFA for the Patriotic Support Fund.

This donation reflects the recognition of its structure for all the efforts made on the ground to safeguard territorial integrity and protect populations, indicated the general director.

‘We are aware of the efforts being made by the Ministry of Health and the Defense and Security Forces to reconquer ou
r territory,’ she declared.

Ms. Somda hoped that the Burkinabè would support the army in the patriotic drive to reconquer the territory.

‘We need to help each other first. Burkina Faso belongs to everyone and it is up to us Burkinabè to always mobilize to help ourselves,’ she said.

Doctor Colonel Omar Tiendrebéogo from the central directorate of the army health service, affirmed that the sum will be used to care for the wounded of the Defense and Security Forces mobilized in the fight against terrorism.

According to him, populations in areas with strong security challenges will also benefit from support through these funds.

‘It was a Burkinabè who made the donation. It is an endogenous gesture to save lives and help wounded fighting forces,’ clarified Omar Tiendrebeogo.

He also invited all Burkinabè people to follow in the footsteps of the Sibiri Biomedical Services group, in order to put an end to terrorism.

The secretary general of the ministry in charge of health, Dr Issa Ouédraogo welcomed the dona
tion and specified that the amount will help move the lines at the army level.

‘We are seeing fewer closures of health facilities, this really reflects the capabilities of our defense and security forces to push terrorism out of our territory,’ rejoiced Dr Ouédraogo.

Created in 2018, Sibiri Bio Médical Services is a company specializing in the import and distribution of pharmaceutical products, materials, accessories and medical equipment.
