Burkina: Professor Laurent Bado dedicates his latest book entitled ‘A Catholic Christian asks questions’

Ouagadougou: Professor Laurent Bado, politician, founder of tercerism on endogenous development and former seminarian, signed on Thursday, January 18, 2024 in Ouagadougou, his latest book entitled ‘A Catholic Christian asks questions’ .

The book signed by Professor Laurent Bado ‘A Catholic Christian asks questions’ has 100 pages subdivided into 9 chapters. It was published by Mercury Editions.

‘For the Catholic Christian that I am, there is something wrong. What is the cause of this crisis within the church? Professor Bado asked before answering that ‘it is liberalism’.

The crisis within the Catholic Church comes, according to him, ‘from the desire to adapt the faith to the thought, culture and morality of the modern world’. ‘But it is not God who must be adapted, it is man who must be adapted to God,’ he said.

In his opinion, ‘man thinks he replaces God until now’ and he translated this by the presence today of ‘artificial intelligence’.

Laurent Bado stressed that there is no longer a church in the West
. ‘There is now only a church in Africa,’ he noted.

Through this work, the author says he wants to express ‘humbly and courageously’ his doubts, his concerns ‘about the progress of the boat of Saint Peter (the Catholic church) in the ocean’.

According to Professor Bado, since the Second Vatican Council, ‘nothing is going right within the church and the Catholic Christian is no longer found’. ‘The results of the Vatican II consul are shameful,’ he argued.

‘A crisis has taken hold in the church, a crisis recognized by Pope Paul VI six times, by Pope John Paul II in a speech on February 6, 1981 and by Cardinal Joseph Ralph Singer,’ he said. note.

The Second Vatican Council was opened on October 11, 1962 by Pope John XXIII and ended on December 8, 1965 under the pontificate of Pope Paul VI.

Laurent Bado is the honorary president of the National Renaissance Party (PAREN), a party he created in 2000 and he was a member of the National Assembly several times.
