Ouagadougou: Me Guy Hervé Kam was indicted and placed in pre-trial detention on May 28, 2024 for complicity in conspiracy against state security and criminal conspiracy, the military court announced on Saturday.
According to the court, Me Guy Hervé Kam and three other civilians, namely Mathias Ouédraogo, Mahamadi Ouédraogo and Amado Ouédraogo, joined forces with soldiers and former soldiers to undermine state security during August 2023.
According to the court, three former soldiers of the defunct Presidential Security Regiment, Warrant Officer Wendmalgré Kaboré, Chief Sergeant Brice Ismaël Ramdé and former Corporal Sami Dah, working on behalf of the former DAF of the ANR , Commander Mahamadi Belém, geolocated and archived the homes of Transition authorities, with a view to committing assassinations and promoting the fall of power.
The homes concerned are those of the Head of State, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, the President of the ALT Dr Ousmane Bougouma, the Prime Minister Me Apollinaire Kyelem de Tambèla, th
e Minister of State General Kassoum Coulibaly (Defense), Minister of State Bassolma Bazié (Public Service), Minister of State Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo (Communication), former Minister Olivia Rouamba (Foreign Affairs) and Major General Honoré Nabéré Traoré.
The soldiers and ex-soldiers were arrested on September 5, 2023 and the others later, following a denunciation from the Directorate of State Security to the court
