The Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran to Burkina, Mojtaba Faghihi, said on Tuesday, his country is ready to share its expertise with Burkina in the field of security, health or economy.

“The Islamic Republic of Iran is willing to share its experience with Burkina Faso in several sectors, particularly in the fields of economy, pharmaceutical industry, security,” the Iranian diplomat said.

The Iranian ambassador to Iran spoke on Tuesday in Ouagadougou after an audience with the Minister in charge of the economy, Dr Aboubacar Nacanabo.

According to the diplomat, in addition to this, “his country will set up a pharmaceutical production unit in Burkina Faso and many other production units.”

Mojtaba Faghihi also congratulated the establishment of the Burkina Faso Treasury Deposit Bank.

He also requested the government’s support to facilitate exchanges between Burkinabe and Iranian banks, but also with its investors who wish to invest in Burkina Faso.

For his part, Minister Aboubakar Nacanabo, after
welcoming cooperation with the Islamic Republic of Iran, renewed the Burkinabe government’s readiness to cooperate with Iran in all areas of interest to Burkina Faso.
