Together, they performed the first breast reconstruction using a graft in Burkina Faso for a patient who had undergone a mastectomy, the source added.

“This is the most complex intervention in breast reconstruction. It allows both an abdominoplasty and an aesthetic and stable breast reconstruction, especially without the addition of foreign bodies,” explained Professor Zongo.
