The Burkinabè army has carried out several strikes over the past 72 hours which have, among other things, neutralized terrorists who were preparing to attack the city of Djibo, the AIB learned on Saturday from secure sources.
Several bands of terrorists had gathered a few hours ago north of Djibo, with the fatal plan to attack the city.
But thanks to the intelligence services, their plot was discovered.
The aerial vectors waited until the criminals were at the level of their logistics to spray them.
The means of surveillance also followed during a night until dawn, another terrorist group towards Belehede which had the same murderous objective.
The salvoes sent from the skies decimated them with their materials before they took action.
Successful strikes also took place in several places, notably in Tin Samane in the Sahel and in the Tiogo forest.
The Defense and Security Forces also fought intense battles which resulted in the destruction of several terrorist sanctuaries.
Operations are continuing in many theaters of operations, AIB sources assure.
