Ouagadougou: The Council of Ministers granted on Wednesday, to the company Birba Hamidou Et Frères, a semi-mechanized gold mining permit called SAMISSI, which will generate 75.479 billion FCFA for the benefit of state budget.
A semi-mechanized gold mining project based in the commune of Ourgou-Manega in the province of Oubritenga will bring in 75,479,040 CFA francs to the state budget and 11,612,160 CFA francs to the Mining Fund. local development, according to the Burkinabe government.
In total, 32.256 kg of gold will be extracted in 4 years. The operating area is ten (10) hectares and will concern the processing of heaps and mine slag heaps resulting from gold panning waste from the Yako site.
