Ouagadougou: The President of the Republic of Mali, Colonel Assimi Goïta, was welcomed late Tuesday morning at the tarmac of Ouagadougou airport, by his Burkinabè counterpart, Captain Ibrahim Traoré, noted the AIB.
After the customary greetings and the playing of the hymns, the two authorities had a brief interview in the presidential salon of honor.
On the way to the presidential palace in Ouagadougou, Presidents Traoré and Goïta were cheered by a crowd near the airport.
