Burkina: AIB agents trained in the creation of visuals and the proper use of their digital platforms


Agents of the Burkina Information Agency (AIB) followed a 4-day training course on the creation of visuals and the proper use of digital platforms which ended this Thursday afternoon in Ouagadougou.

The training, funded by the Association for Media Development (ADM), took place from Monday January 15 to Thursday January 18, 2024 at the AIB headquarters for the benefit of around ten journalists and technicians now equipped to better use of photoshop, canva, facebook business, advanced search…

‘This training is part of the dynamic of the training courses that we have started internally. It will allow us to strengthen our presence on social networks and be able to secure our digital platforms,’ declared the general director of Editions Sidwaya, Assetou Badoh, visiting to encourage the participants and thank the organizers.

Ms Badoh invited ‘all AIB staff to follow the training in order to better apply the new knowledge acquired so that the AIB is much more visible on social networks’.

‘The objectives of the
training were clear, to understand the ecosystem of social networks, to carry out competitive monitoring, to implement efficient management and to master graphic creation tools,’ recalled the president of the Association for the Development of Media , Stéphanie Theresa Zoungrana, during the closing session.

According to Ms. Zoungrana, the end of the training marks the completion of an important stage but also the beginning of a significant transformation.

‘I am convinced that each participant at the end of their four days of intense training is now equipped to meet these requirements,’ she stressed.

The trainer, Karim Kaboré, communications and digital marketing consultant, was delighted with the attendance of the participants in the session.

‘The training will greatly help journalists to have a head start on social networks and also to be able to create their own content so that their audience can continue to grow,’ he said.

The representative of the participants, Aissata Bangré, thanked the managers of
ADM and Editions Sidwaya for organizing the training.

According to Ms. Bangré, the staff intends to use the skills acquired to make the AIB even more dynamic and more visible.
