The Bittou citizen watch coordination initiated a blood collection day on Saturday, October 19, 2024 in the courtyard of the Bittou Medical Center with Surgical Antenna (CMA), under the sponsorship of Issaka Ouédraogo known as katreganganwo, transit agent in Bittou.
This blood collection aims to participate in patriotic commitment, to save the lives of combatants wounded in the battlefields and to treat the sick in this time of malaria, according to the communal coordinator of the citizen watch of Bittou, Moubarick Diessongo.
The chief medical officer of the Bittou district, Bourama Ouattara, welcomed the initiative which made it possible to collect more than 150 bags of blood.
“This initiative is commendable in this desperate time of need for blood to save lives. We have seen the goodwill of the people of Bittou. Thanks to the civic watch of the Bittou commune,” he said.
Local administrative authorities, customary and religious leaders, members of civil society organizations, and even the Combatant For
ces participated in this blood donation operation.
