“Placental Governance or Falsified Paradise”, the new and 9th work of the writer Alfred Jean Michel Bationo, was dedicated on Thursday, October 24, 2024 in Tenkodogo. Placed under the patronage of the governor of the Center-East region, Colonel Aboudou Karim Lamizana, the ceremony was attended by regional and provincial directors, department heads, customary and religious authorities as well as teachers and students .

“Placental Governance or Falsified Paradise” is the title of the 9th literary work of the playwright, fabulist, short story writer, poet and novelist.

The work was dedicated on Thursday, October 24, 2024 in Tenkodogo.

According to the author Alfred Jean Michel Bationo, this new work is part of a purely imaginary universe, hence the name of the Republic “Nayibùmbu” which is full of hope.

“The work is certainly structured in parts and chapters. The beginning clearly shows a prosperous Republic with now a placental Governance where Panga and his family alone reigned. Which means that the peopl
e were forgotten,” he indicated.

According to him, it was now necessary for a character in the person of Zougnooma to come to save and bring the people out of this state of suffering.

The regional director in charge of secondary education in the Centre-East, Nacor Sorgho, invited the youth to take ownership of it because it is the person on whom we count to build a prosperous, democratic Burkina Faso where life will be good for the entire population.

He described the work as prescient in that it addresses the issue of the future and also the issue of governance in our country.

“This is an invitation not only to the youth but also to the adults that we are to resolutely commit ourselves to good governance by drawing inspiration from this work. We take this opportunity to congratulate, encourage and thank Alfred Jean Michel Bationo for his talent,” said Nacor Sorgho.

In this work where the societal experiences of the “Nayibùmbu” Republic are recounted, the author emphasizes names of Burkinabe origin and mo
re particularly Moagha in order to invite a return to the sources.

“The society in which I live is housed in a Republic and it is in a country, Burkina Faso. Necessarily, I would like, when writing, that we give a coloring at least that there are cultural borrowings so that we can be able to attribute the work to origins. And we will have to go back to our origins”, wished Alfred Jean Michel Bationo.

The work is available in bookstores in Burkina Faso at a price of 5,000 CFA francs in the town of Tenkodogo, 12,000 CFA francs in the Jeunesse d’Afrique and Mercury bookstores and 13,000 CFA francs in the Diacfa bookstore.
