The ‘Rose des Sables’ association in Geneva, Switzerland, came to the aid of more than 200 internally displaced persons (IDPs) and other vulnerable people in the commune of Kombissiri, province of Bazèga, by distributing food, Monday 1st in Kombissiri.
It was in the presence of the president of the special delegation (PDS) of the commune of Kombissiri, Boukary Porgo, and agents of the provincial direction in charge of national solidarity of Bazèga including the provincial director, Claudine Korbéogo, who spoke the official delivery of food to the beneficiaries took place.
This 3rd solidarity action of its kind is from the Swiss association based in Geneva ‘Rose des sables’ through its local partner, the Teeb Manegda association (ATM/Burkina Faso) based in Kombissiri. The food, consisting of 3 tonnes of rice, 8 boxes of 6 3-liter bottles of oil and bags of salt, is intended for 43 households, i.e. more than 200 internally displaced people (IDPs) and other vulnerable people in the commune of Kombissiri .

s donation according to the president of ATM/Burkina Faso, Pasteur Boureima Pascal Ouédraogo, follows a request addressed to ‘Rose des Sables’ through its president, Daniel Ribbi, who was kind enough to respond favorably by offering these foods.
‘This gesture of solidarity supports the country’s authorities in their sovereign missions to ensure the well-being of people, especially in this security crisis situation,’ added the president of ATM/Burkina Faso.
The PDS of Kombissiri who chaired the official handover ceremony of the food expressed his satisfaction and thanked the donor ‘Rose des Sables’ and its partner ATM/Burkina Faso for this action of solidarity towards the IDPs and other vulnerable people of his territorial jurisdiction.
The representative of the beneficiaries Zinaba Jacques, very moved by this donation, expressed his gratitude to the donors on behalf of the beneficiaries. Each household received 2 and a half bags of rice, a bottle of oil and salt.
