_: In early March, elements of the BIR 18 and the VDP launched a clean-up operation in the commune of Sanaba (Banwa) which was on the way to becoming a sanctuary for evil forces.
On March 3, 2024, elements of the 18th Rapid Intervention Battalion (BIR) and volunteers for the defense of the homeland (VDP) arrived quietly in the commune of Sanaba where hordes of terrorists were disturbing the peace of the Banwalais.
After canvassing the locality, the Fighting Forces began with careful searches of the houses.
During this operation, they faced armed men who did not want to leave their comfort zone. Fortunately, the boys gained the upper hand and more than 30 terrorists were neutralized.
Survivors who could not digest this defeat mobilized to come and avenge their comrades. But the bravery and determination of the patriots got the better of them.
On the morning of Friday March 15, 2024, the Burkina flag flew again over Sanaba.
The colors were mounted on a mobile phone antenna near the town hall to clearly sh
ow in the distance that the town is now under control.
