Baccalaureate: 799 candidates in the running in the Sahel

The baccalaureate examination session 2024 began this Tuesday, June 18, 2024, in the Sahel region with 799 candidates from series A, C, D and professional, distributed in 4 examination centers in Dori, Djibo and Gorom-Gorom .

According to the regional director of post-primary and secondary education (DREPS) of the Sahel, Mr. Salifou Porgo, the region has 799 candidates including 467 boys and 332 girls.

To listen to him, these candidates are distributed in 4 composition centers including 2 in Dori, one center in Djibo and another in Gorom-Gorom.

And gentleman to add that for this session, the province of Séno has 594 candidates including 248 girls and 346 boys.

Soum has 62 candidates including 29 girls and 33 boys and Oudalan has 143 candidates including 55 girls and 88 boys.

The composition series are series C with 20 candidates, series D with 375 candidates, series A4 with 379 candidates, Solar Energy (ES) series 13 candidates and Meat and Egg Processing (TVO) series with 12 candidates.

oncludes that overall the exam is going well, even if the number of candidates is down compared to that of 2023 which recorded 861 candidates.

The governor of the Sahel region, Lieutenant-Colonel Fabien Rodolphe Sorgho, proceeded at 7:30 am to symbolically open the envelope containing the first proof.

He encouraged the candidates and praised all education stakeholders for the hard work they do on a daily basis and which allows educational continuity in the Sahel region.
