APEX-Burkina organizes a CAN fair to support Stallions

Ouagadougou: Thanks to the 34th edition of CAN Côte d’Ivoire, several Burkinabè initiatives are undertaken to support the Stallions such as the fair of the ministry in charge of trade through the Agency for the promotion of exports from Burkina ( APEX-Burkina), we noted.

The director of commercial promotion of APEX-Burkina Maxim Yamwemba whom we met at the Burkina Faso consulate in Bouaké, site of the fair, explains that the organization of this fair ‘is understood in a specific and special way to support our Stallions.’

‘We know that this is an opportunity to bring together the diaspora and supporters to support the actors. We created this framework to allow them to find local products and eat locally,’ he said.

This fair is organized within the Burkina Faso consulate in Bouaké and offers a good range of local dishes (Burkinabe culinary art), products of Burkinabe cultural expression through ‘Faso danfani’ and ‘koko donda’. There is an abundance and enthusiasm for the products and services that are availa
ble, according to Mr. Yamwemba.

Mrs. Sankara Alimata, sales agent for the Odiss cosmetic laboratory, mentions that ‘we present products made from shea butter: soap, shea honey, anti-pimple shea. We have warming nerve balms for osteoarthritis and joints. We also have tomato oils, baobab grape oils, cream etc. “.

She adds that ‘we are here to make our products known in the sub-region and by the Ivorians. We said to ourselves that there will be more attendance with the CAN.’

The head of marketing and diaspora within the Cities Management Center (CEGECI) Ms. Congo Debbie says that ‘we are at the fair as part of our prospecting activities on the sidelines of the CAN. We wanted to get closer to the Burkinabè diaspora who are in Ivory Coast, precisely in Bouaké.’

She continues that ‘we are here to present our housing offers and our real estate program for the Burkinabè diaspora on site’. She reassures that there is a ‘crowd because there are a lot of Burkinabè who have come to see us and who are curious to disco
ver our housing offers’.

The communicator explains that ‘many have been unpleasantly surprised by relatives back home by sending money to invest in real estate. Today they need a serious structure that they can trust. So we are here and that reassures them.’

Around twenty stands were set up for around thirty exhibiting companies and around ten institutions.
