altitude nahouri alert: Kenyan Wesley Kemboy wins the 15th edition of Altitude Nahouri

Kenyan athlete Wesley Kemboy won the 15th edition of Altitude Nahouri on Saturday in Po, ahead of Ghanaian Malan Yampouti in 1h17mn15sec (over a distance of 21km and 447m of ascent), noted a journalist of the AIB.

The first from Burkina Faso Inoussa Simporé came in 5th position.

In the women’s competition, it was the Congolese Mambeke Cleme who was champion.

Nearly 121 national and international athletes were on the starting line. The Kenyan athlete took the lead of the race from the starting point, pacing the peloton in the circuit inside the town of Pó to the top of Nahouri peak, a race distance of 21km and an ascent of 447 m, the height of the peak.

It was the Minister of State, Minister of Communication, Arts and Culture Rimtalba Jean Emmanuel Ouédraogo who gave the starting signal for the race.
