AIB correspondent in Boulsa, Jean Baptiste Damiba, appointed UNHCR cultural ambassador for peace

Ouagadougou: The correspondent journalist of the Burkina Information Agency in Boulsa, Jean Baptiste Damiba, was named cultural ambassador for peace of the United Nations Refugee Agency (UNHCR) alongside other actors in the North-Central region .

Jean Baptiste Damiba was honored on March 22, 2024 in Kaya by the United Nations Refugee Agency as cultural ambassador for peace, in the company of Abibou Sawadogo and two other actors from the Center-North region.

‘It was a pleasant pleasure for me to be named UNHCR Cultural Ambassador for Peace in the North-Central region. To this end, I thank those who choose my modest person and commit myself to working as much as possible through culture to convey messages of peace through our cultural works and through our behavior for true peace in Namentenga and in the North-Central region and why not in Burkina Faso,’ confided Mr. Damiba.

The AIB correspondent also expressed his gratitude to the High Commissioners of the provinces of Namentenga and Sanmatenga, to the Regi
onal Directorate of Culture, Arts and Tourism, to the president of the community association for the development of the Center-North (ACD/CN) and the OgNG Action Africa Secours et Assistance (ASA), ‘for their involvement and their facilitation’.
