Agropastoral offensive in Houndé, a mining town where 100 hectares of lowlands will be developed

Ouagadougou: The Minister of Agriculture, Animal and Fishery Resources, Commander Ismaël Sombié, visited the development site of 100 hectares of lowlands in Karaba, in the commune of Houndé, region of the Hauts-Bassins.

Arriving on the site on March 25, Minister Somé was able to see the work being carried out and assess the level of progress of the site.

On March 24, it was noted that the stripping of the overflowing bunds, a significant collection of rubble, and the beginning of the execution of the embankments and bridges were noted. Work which represents an execution rate of 13% for a time consumption of 9%.

Minister Somé insisted on respecting the delivery time to allow producers to exploit the lowlands during the 2024-2025 wet season agropastoral campaign.
