47% participation rate in the Senegalese presidential election recorded in Burkina Faso, according to CODEL

Ouagadougou: The Senegalese diaspora living in Burkina Faso recorded a 47% participation rate in the presidential election organized on the 24th by Senegal, according to a report from the Convention of Civil Society Organizations for domestic election observation (CODEL) .

1576 Senegalese living in Burkina Faso registered on the electoral list and voted in 5 offices open in Ouagadougou, Koudougou and Bobo-Dioulasso. ‘Of these 1,576, 745 people actually voted on election day, representing a participation rate of 47%,’ indicates a report from the Convention of Civil Society Organizations for Domestic Observation of Elections.

CODEL, chaired by Me Halidou Ouédraogo, former magistrate and founder of the Burkinabè movement for human and people’s rights (MPDHP), deployed 17 independent observers spread across three polling stations in Ouagadougou and one polling station in Bobo. -Dioulasso just like in Koudougou.

The current Senegalese presidential election allows Macky Sall’s replacement to be designated.
